Companies and institutions can contribute with FUNZEL’s efforts, by becoming part of our allies group, through agreements or letters of understanding gaining compliance commitments in conjunction with the Foundation in the development of our projects, which are focused on wildlife conservation in our country.
Currently, FUNZEL have combined efforts in developing the Sea Turtles Conservation Program and improving the quality of life in coastal communities across the country, which is why some companies have joined us making their contributions in the following ways:
Depending on the amount of contribution: according to the amount of the donation to the Sea Turtle Program, companies can obtain their participation in the events of releasing Sea Turtles with their employees and families, having the ability to choose the time and place of their convenience with a maximum participation of thirty people per event.
If the donation is from $3,000.00 to $8000.00 US Dollars, the brand of the company will be placed in the Olive Ridley Turtle category and the company will become a member of the Alliance for the Conservation of Sea Turtles.
If the donation is from $8,000.00 to $15,000.00 US Dollars, the brand of the company will be placed in the Green Turtle category and the company will become a member of the Alliance for the Conservation of Sea Turtles.
If the donation is from $15,000.00 to $25,000.00 US Dollars, the brand of the company will be placed in the Hawksbill Turtle category and the company will become a member of the Alliance for the Conservation of Sea Turtles.
If the donation is more than $25,000.00 US Dollars, the brand of the company will be placed in the Leatherback Turtle category and the company will become a member of the Alliance for the Conservation of Sea Turtles.

The Sea Turtle Conservation and Improvement of the Quality of Life of Coastal Communities Program is carried out with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development – USAID, who gave a donation to FUNZEL in 2011 for the implementation of a program of 3 years of duration.
FUNZEL sponsors are companies or organizations that financially support a specific program or project. A cooperation agreement in which the agreements and commitments of both parties are set is signed with these companies or organizations.
Currently, the foundation has 4 sponsors supporting the Sea Turtle Conservation Program:
The Bank has supported FUNZEL during the past four years to fund the costs of collecting turtle eggs in the hatcheries located in Playa San Diego, La Libertad.
The Foundation has had the support of TERMOENCOGIBLES with the operation of the Sea Turtle hatchery in Costa del Sol (La Puntilla) and in the 2013 season in the hatchery located in Tasajera Island, in San Luis La Herradura, La Paz.
Francisco Gavidia University – UFG
Through the Office of Social Projection, the University supports the operation of hatcheries located in Ceiba Doblada and Isla de Méndez, San Juan del Gozo Peninsula, Usulutan, providing financial aid and students in their social service year to participate in cleaning activities and maintenance of the hatcheries’ facilities.
Friends of Barra de Santiago
For several years, the Friends of Barra de Santiago has supported the operation of the hatcheries located on that beach, contributing financially and allowing the use of private property for the operation of the hatchery.
Neighbors of Metalio
Neighbors of Metalio finances the costs of turtle eggs recollection that are delivered to the hatchery located on this beach.

Friends of FUNZEL collaborate with an annual donation to support the different areas of work of the foundation and conservation programs.
